Halo 2 released, woohoo! And I managed to steal a kiss with Master Chief at the launch! Actually it's just some dude dressed in the MJOLNIR-lookalike clunky armour, but it was a great KODAK moment for me!
And my "Best Bet for Games" published today but the online version isn't up as yet...guess the poor dude in charge of putting the whole paper online is hooked on Halo 2. Will link it up tomorrow.
Anyway I recommended Halo 2, Half Life 2, Sims 2, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Need for Speed Underground 2 and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2. Seems like all the attention is on the sequels, eh? Whatever happened to originality? This same problem occurs with movies...people are just too keen to cash in and expand the franchise of a winning formula than to come up with something original.

Expansions, sequels...these take up more shelf space than original games these days!
hey C.Ray, you mentioned some retro games are gaining popularity? Which ones? I still adore some real old games, pity's that I can't play them anymore. Like Below the Root, Might and Magic 3, Phantasy, King's and Space Quest, Serf City...nothing but purely addictive gameplay. Where have all the good times gone? Gosh I feel old...
