Resident Evil: Apocalypse
WARNING: Non-fans of Resident Evil series and people who dislike "B" movies should avert their eyes
The evil Umbrella Corp that conducts experiments on a T-virus that has regenerative properties on living things. The virus leaked and the whole city is filled with undeads seeking out humans to feed on. Milla Jovovich reprises her role as Alice, the head of security of Umbrella Corp, and is now joined in a zombie-killing spree with members of STARS (Special Tactics and Rescue Squad) and our other scantily clad female protagonist of RE Nemesis, Jill Valentine.
OKl, so a story based on a Playstation console probably isn't the best material for the movie, but hey, it really isn't bad...if you are not biased.
Reasons to watch:
1) Plenty of kickass moves by Milla...whether they are kicking dogs, blasting zombies or trying to pick up the cute Russian STARS guy, she is pretty watchable. Thanks to the NC-16 rating for the movie, she gets to go all nude for the local audience but it's quite disappointing...she looks better scantily clad.
2) Nemesis appears! In the game, it's the big baddie that simply cannot be killed...you just have to run away from him. The way he says "STARS!" still send shivers down my spine, which makes me recall the game which I spent many sleepless nights on....brrr....
3) Jill Valentine hits the movie screen! Although now her blue top and miniskirt makes her look kinda ridiculous. The actress also takes Jill Valentine's role too literally - she moves in a more awkward way than in the game :P
Reasons not to watch:
1) Zombies here look worse than in RE 1
2) The story is too straightforward compared to RE 1
3) Ok it is a pretty B movie but it's quite enjoyable too!
4) Better to watch RE1
