War - What is it good for?
Humans are an amazing species...we are able to prolong lives, cure fatal diseases, and ensure our species dominates the planet. We overcome the forces of Nature (well, at least some), claim lordship over plants and animals and defy natural selection. Hence we have wars occasionally to keep our population size in check. This may prove to be a evolution disaster as we kill of the most able-bodied and fittest members of our population while keeping those frail and weak away from the frontlines. Not that I'm advocating genocide or anything, but it is one outcome we should consider as a species.
