Read or Die
Yes I know, what a godawful title....and get this, the heroine is called The Paper (Zah Paypah, as it is pronounced in Engrish). Despite the odd names, this 3 episode anime is very watchable and beautifully drawn, with fabulous music by Taku Iwasaki, the same guy who did the music for the Kenshin series. This series is done in a very American superheroes vs supervillains style, but, the ending is pretty interesting...can't say too much cos there are plenty of spoilers. More about The Paper? Well, she is not your typical big-eyed, voluptuous anime heroine...instead she is bookish, clumsy, timid and too polite (it's everything "kudasai" with her, even when she is threatening a villain, kinda like Kenshin's "gozaru" even with his nemesis :P?), with big glasses and her nose in a book all the time...sigh, not so cool right? Well, let's just say there is a reason why she is a heroine...
It's a very short series so catch it if u have a couple of hours to spare....
