Stocks I intend to own when the price is right
(not a recommendation, just a note on what to watch out for! Lose munny dun blame me!
)
Singapore Telecoms - Monopolies are always good for the investor, but bad for everyone else.
ST Engineering - I had it before but sold it, one of my favourite stocks. Too expensive now though.
Robinsons - Great dividends but now seems a little undecided. Seems to be hurt by its too frequent sales.
Sembcorp Industries - Waiting for it to ride out the current bad news. But it might prove to be rich pickings later. "Sembcorp Industries was a prominent loser as the stock slumped 14 cents to $1.39 as the long-running 'Solitaire' issue resurfaced to haunt investors. The company has just announced that it would be setting aside more funds for a court case involving suits and countersuits over a S$230 million project to convert cable-laying vessel Solitaire. Solitaire's owners, Swiss-based Allseas Group, is claiming some 259 million pounds from SembCorp for not converting the vessel according to contract." - BT, 28 June 2004.
