Miniature Human?
This may sound like an story from Tim Burton or an episode from Twin Peaks, but yesterday I saw the most physically interesting person I have ever seen in my life. I was at OG People's Park (not my favourite hangout but they had the nicest Estee Lauder promotion which I cannot afford to pass up) when I saw this miniature human! No, not a dwarf, who usually has a disproportionately large head (and I am not being prejudiced here, I don't think they are strange or whatever, just another human being), but a perfectly proportionate and well-formed small person! She (at least I think she's a she) has got a matured face with blonde hair and Asian features, although her nose is slightly large compared to the rest of her face. She has the daintest feet with shoes that look like they belonged to a doll, and she was dressed in a classy pantsuit that showed off how slim she is. When she walked next to a toddler, it looked like the toddler was chubby and grossly overweight compared to this lithe and dainty little person.
But what struck me was also her attitude. I was going in the opposite direction when I saw her going down the escalator and she was posing like she was surfing. And when she saw people staring at her, she cheekily made a face at them. She was accompanied by this "uncle" who looked positively like a giant next to her (she was just taller than his knee!)
What a stir she caused among all the aunties and ah sohs at OG! (again I stress that I don't normally shop there ok) There were exclamations, pointing and much fussing about. But with the little person's attitude and showmanship, there was a lingering smile on the lips of those she passes by. Handicapped? Unfortunate? Special? Whatever it is, her liveliness and exuberance is what really made her stand out, perhaps more so than her unique physical appearance.
