I have a sudden feeling of materialism...sigh...one is always like that after payday. Anyway I have just splurged on a new Nike gym bag, so I should really be saving money, especially since I'm planning going to HOKKAIDO end of May. But some things that caught my fancy...(let's hope they are just flights of fancy)
1. Audrey Hepburn - An Elegant Spirit; A Son Remembers
Found this book at Kino at $65!!! my goodness! Might do better to order it from Amazon together with my other intended purchases (Fight Club DVD is still out of stock though...bleah)
2. Very Irresistable by Givenchy
It's got the fragrance of 5 different varieties of roses! It smells a bit too sweet at the first sniff but mellows to something lovely on the skin. $84 over the counter with free lotion n miniature; $71 at a parallel importer. I didn't like the idea that they used Liv Tyler to push this scent (if it's up to me, I will brand it "Scent of an Elf" *corny!!!*) but at least its not Hennifer Ropez.
3. Something from Tiffany's
Blame it on Audrey Hepburn! I have seen Breakfast at Tiffany's twice and I still want to watch it again! Maybe I should ask them to engrave something instead but I don't think the Singapore store will be as nice as the New York one...and then again I'm not Audrey Hepburn requesting their services.
4. Breakfast at Tiffany's by Truman Capote
It costs $20! My goodness!! These Penguin Classics were going for $9.90 once upon a time! Grrr!!! I'll prob just get it from the library.
5. Leaving Me Loving You DVD
Well, what can I say...it beats Okinawa Rendezvous and the shooting is quite good, and Shanghai looks beautiful, and there is Faye...I'm probably gonna buy it...
6. Ninja Gaiden
Yes yes let the secret be out...I did not finish the game before I reviewed it!! *shame! humiliation!* cos its so difficult...I was down to one minor health potion when I faced off with one of the toughest bosses in the game! And I hurt my thumb while trying so hard to execute combos...I will have to finish the game before my life's end no matter what! And I slept poorly when I knew I had to replay due to my poor potion rationing....grrr....
