Gadget FRENZY!
The Geek Gods have so blessed me this week. Let me count the ways:
W950i: Last weekend I finally bit the bullet and got the Sony Ericsson W950i, and, although the buttons are so darn hard to press, the Walkman function is simply amazing - the sound quality is even better than my Samsung MP3 player! And it predicts and recognises handwriting! And it's such a smart phone I'm still trying to grapple with all that it can do. However, it takes a while to respond like when it's trying to open messages and today it hung on me. Perhaps it's because I was trying to transfer music and make a call at the same time?
PSP: Yup! For my slogging at work my boss has lent me her PSP, I don't know how she managed to wrangle it out of her husband's hands but it's here with me! To think they've only been playing Amoured Core on it which I've tried and found so darn perplexing and difficult to play. So I went out to my friendly neighbourhood game shop to get Tekken Dark Resurrection - it's killer! The screen is so pretty! And I've got a blister on my left thumb! But it's pretty darn heavy to carry around. Now to wait for Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops to be restocked because I so miss Solid Snake! I'm so in love with it I might even buy it when it's time to return it. At $360 currently, it doesn't seem so prohibitive.
DSLite: A talk with the game shop owner has lead me to get a Micro SD card and cartridge for my DS Lite which among other things, lets me play music and even read ebooks on the DS Lite! Not that I really need it since I have my Palm, but it's a good option to have apart from just playing games on it. It's so liberating when your devices can do so much more for you.
It's a great week to be a geek. I shall kneel in front of my electronic alter and utter my thanks.
