Wine List Writer for Hire!
More packing was done today with the addition of my new storage solutions! And I came across something I did for a friend's wedding in Nov last year...perhaps I should offer my services as...a WINE LIST WRITER!
That's right, another ideal freelance job. I can have an excuse to guzzle, ahem, I mean, critique all the wines I want and write about them too! Not right away of course. For this list, I scribbled some unintelligible things under the influence of alchohol and then strung them up after I became sober.
Anyone else wants a wine list writer for their weddings? Drop me a mail! My charges are reasonable..a bottle of each wine to be reviewed (I can even tell you if it's good and worth getting or not! Free value added service!) and perhaps $20 for each writeup? If the wine is really good, I'll waive the $20 (or if I'm too tipsy to remember...). Just kidding, if you're real pal-y with me, like this friend who was happily hitched in Nov (a respectable 15 year history between us), it's FOC!

Rosemount Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2003

Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon 2003
This pleasantly smoky and spicy red wine from Chile has a unique air of maturity and sophistication with a passionate Latin-American soul. Distinctive flavours of cherries and plum infused with the aroma of toasty oak gives this wine plenty of character, like a gentleman with a refined demeanour but an adventurous spirit. An ideal companion for hearty meals and meat dishes.
Rosemount Estate Merlot 2002
Beautifully elegant yet easy to drink, this fragrant wine pleases the nose as much as the palate. Richly flavoured with layers of dark cherry, plum and apples set against moderate oak, it goes well with spicy foods and red meats. This charming red wine pays homage to the elegant lady with an inquisitive mind and a complex character; altogether an intriguing enigma.

We will let u know when we purchased the vineyard in Perth and will surely invite you to sample and write to boast,er...boost sales!

hey! yeah, would prefer the vineyards in Yarra Valley though, ever thought of getting a vineyard there? South Australia's Reislings are divine!
