You are not your job

Someone recently accused me of being to laid-back with an attitude of not wanting to drive myself harder.

Well, if it's just because I'm not wound as tightly as a spring acutely contorted and about to snap as the Accuser, then yes, I do admit, I am laid back. A job is just a job, it's not life and death, and I'm glad to say I:

1) don't think about my job 24 hrs a day, every minute of the day
2) like to shut down after logging off from work
3) take pride in being able to laugh and shake off adversity
4) like to do the things that I like
5) like to give people some leeway
6) don't like people breathing down my neck
7) don't want to be Little Miss Perfect
8) like to relax with slacker music like Bossa Nova and lounge music
9) like to waste precious time playing games, watching TV/movies, reading fiction and kicking back instead of, ahem, trying to work with every spare second I have
10) am fiercely protective of my right to do what I like in my spare time.
