Hurray for TV Mobile!
No, I didn't just change how I felt about TV Mobile. I had always complained that it was an annoying noise machine filled with ads and intrude in my private space blah blah blah...but I was glad for it some of the time...namely 1) when the news is on 2) when Singapore Idol was on 3) today when I caught the pilot episode of Desperate Housewives.
My friend, ET the scriptwriter, had earlier recommended this series to me, and I must say the first episode is a real gem. It's about a bunch of suburban women - married, divorced, single parent, many childrened - and one death...the narrator's. Intriguing stuff.
It's only at the end when one of the shots of the camera drawing upwards for an isometric view of the suburbs that I realised why I was so drawn to this show...it's just so much like a dramatisation of The Sims.
Desperate Housewives airs on Channel 5 every Monday, 10 pm.
