Buy Buy Buy!
I don't know why but shopping has been on my mind a lot these days. From makeup to shoes to stationery to clothes, I have been very diligent in doing sampling, research and analysis...
In the makeup category I highly recommend:
Body Shop's new range of shimmery eye shadows - there was a lovely metallic green one that looks kinda like an iridiscent bug shell...a little bit too weird for everyday use, so I got a more conservative metallic lavendar one instead. But I still kinda fancy the bug coloured one...
Red Earth's lipstick - again kinda metallic pink, but looks great! Suits the futuristic theme of Faye's "To Love" MTV.
Oh and I'll need to do some research on the smoky eye effect that looks so great on Jennifer Connelly and Faye...but it's too glam for everyday use...perhaps for attending live concerts?
For the clothes category:
There's a new shop called "The Station" at Bugis Junction with many fabulous tops, both chic and casual, around the $30 something range. Need to visit it again when it restocks.
A colleague also recommended "Fountien" or something like that which has clothes designed in Spain. Plaza Singapura has a branch supposedly. Have to go check it out.
Next on my "To Buy" list is a pair of Adidas Enmei, light enough to carry around in my gym bag, soft enough for boxercise and cool enough to wear for casual occasions. How does it look? I'm eyeing the phantom grey/black version.
Books: B recommended Life of Pi to me, and it has plenty of animals which I will probably like she says. I gave her full marks for recommending me The Fountainhead, so I'll probably go with her recommendation.
