Beauty Tip #1 Concealing eye bags:
One of my biggest problems is dark eye rings and eye bags, probably due to habit of gaming for hours til late into the night. Without concealer, people look at me and stare in fright, or make comments like "Hey, you look like a panda. Don't you sleep enough?". When there's a need to look pretty, I reach for my trusty concealer and eye cream for the biggest coverup since the Watergate scandal. Here's how:
1. The key is find a creamy concealer that suits your skin tone naturally. For me, L'Oreal's Hydra Perfecte Concealer does the job really well. Don't go for tones that are too light as they make things worse by not covering enough, yet seems as though you are trying too hard.
2. Apply your favourite eye cream before you apply the concealer. Ideally, the eye cream should be creamy (duh!) in texture.
3. Before the eye cream is absorbed, quickly apply the concealer and blend. This helps it to spread more easily, and covers better too!
4. Right after you apply the concealer, apply your foundation/loose powder/2-way cake/whatever makeup you normally use on your face. Be sure to blend with the concealer thoroughly.
5. Don't put too much powder under the eyes though. I made that mistake once and I looked all wrinkly. When I smile, the powder practically showered down my dress.
6. Keep an eye on the tip and ends of the eye, as these are normally plagued by shadows too!
7. Eyeshadows are optional, but these are my favourite kind of makeup.
8. Think to yourself "I look so pretty now!"...that is, until you remove your makeup.
