I'm being quietly written off and I don't know why. Yes thats the worse part. If you want to get rid of me, tell it to me. There are only so many things you can blame on lost emails, poor communication, badly relayed messages, SMSes unsent, ignorance, acts of God before I get suspicious. Is it sympathy or simply apathy that I get treated like this?
Six years I've been doing this. Sure it seems simple enough - play the game, write about it, send it off, hope it gets published and hope you get paid - months later. But there are times when the deadline is tight and I forgo what's left of my sleep to meet it. And now I'm being ignored with not so much an explanation.
Yeah I'm too sensitive, I'm taking it too personally, I want to be treated with some respect. Too much to ask? Well that's because I think I deserve it.
