First up - I'd like to express my appreciation to people who:
1. tell me they appreciate my writing
2. laugh appreciatively at my jokes
Yes it's nice to be appreciated. It might seem like a swollen headed thing but such things really make my day.
Re: the Adidas/Stella McCartney launch today, it was rather dismal - a tiny collection, no catwalk - just a video (yes! only a video!), small crowd. Saving grace was 1827's excellent service, the event itself was rather blah, mostly just marketing talk. I had attended Microsoft launches with a much less glam crowd (gaming geeks vs fashion geeks) that beats this hands down. Being shuttled to Suntec for a "preview sale" didn't really work for me either - there was no room to try and too few pieces of clothing to try, and also I felt the stuff was like 100% more expensive than the usual Adidas stuff (if that's the case, Stella M does get a rather generous cut!). Colours she used were lovely, and I did like a pair of shoes, but...gym shoes for over $200? Ouchie...
