Saw a notice from Town Council yesterday that made my blood pressure go up. Stuck at the lift lobby was a warning that "inconsiderate residents who are caught feeding cats will be fined $1,000". Note the three words in bold.
Since when is doing something nice criminal?
To make things worse, I got a questionnaire from SPCA to say that they have been approached by AVA for stray control management, and they are asking members what they think of this offer. If they accept, this will mean that SPCA will be going onto the streets and actively catching strays. If that comes to pass, your well-meaning call to them to rescue a poor kitten stuck in a drain during a storm will probably end the kitten's life.
What is going on here?
I don't give a **** that the moral fibre of our society is breaking due to casinos...really if these people let their own compulsions ruin them, so be it. I could have let many things ruin me - playing too many games, sleeping too little, consuming too much stimulants/caffeine/alcohol/Red Bull, but one of the best and most compassionate things that I do is now considered a criminal activity. My dream of becoming an old lady going around in her free time taking care of strays is going up in smoke - looks like I'll be spending most of my retirement funds paying fines or bailing myself out of prison. Well done.
So here's my answer to SPCA - if you are supposed to be a HUMANE society and not a pest control company (and the thing is, they aren't even gonna get more $ this way!), do not take up stray control management. People who call SPCA for help are trying to help strays and not asking for them to be put to death. Let those who want strays killed call AVA, don't tarnish SPCA's name by doing this. Please.

I really agree wat u said.If i were the AVA,i would not call SPCA and instead,i would take care of the cats.

Hey, I'm a fellow cat feeder here.. You know what? FUCK THE AVA MAN.. Who ever gave them the right to start culling cats..
How i wish to just burn those bigfucks in the AVA and watch them suffer for all the things they are doing to those cats..
SPCA?? USELESS.. Ok, so they do help relocate animals.. take in strays.. etc.. YEAH.. The things the public sees..
I still rmb when the AVA was culling cats and i called SPCA to take those strays in. And they asked me to cage up the cats and bring in to them personally.. WTF..
The cat welfare society.. Also just like them.. My fren found a stray and asked the cat welfare society to help find a home for it.. They said they would CALL HER BACK.. But, you know what? Those FUCKERS didn't..
Hey, keep me updated on whatever ur doing.. And, don't give a damn about whatever fine or arrest that the government uses to threaten us.. At most, people like us start a major riot in Singapore and FUCK THE GOVERNMENT'S POLICIES..
