My mind is full of crises...WTC, Bhopal, my thesis...Just last night I dreamt I was living in an Indian village all my life (in my dream I was an Indian woman, complete with a sari) and yet still feel squeamish at the sight of roaches running past my sandal-clad feet. The water was as filthy as the red-ant-ridden water in the shower of Tioman's rickety shack (during the one week of Zoological hell in Tioman, but that's another story!), and I was wondering where I could buy bottled water to wash my hair. Then I realised I was a POOR villager who can't afford to buy clean water. I remember seeing a hole in the roof of my shack made of wood. I remember not having enough light to read. Then I realised I probably couldn't read anyway.
